I was given an assignment back around Hanukkah and it's been nearly three months in the making, and is now ready. I've not been dawdling, either. This assignment addresses natural health from a Biblical and practical perspective.
He causeth the grass to grow for the cattle, and herb for the service of man . . . And wine that maketh glad the heart of man, and oil . . . Psalm 104:14-15
And Y'hshuwah answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and
fell among thieves, which stripped him of his raiment, and wounded him, and
departed, leaving him half dead.
But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw
him, he had compassion on him, And went to him, and bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and set him
on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him. Luke 10:30, 33-34
Our Heavenly Father created herbs for our health, for the service of man, to actually work for our maintenance. Throughout Scripture, oil is mentioned in anointing, in applying for both honor and healing. Wine is acidic and alcohol in general is very astringent, even anti-bacterial. Since the account of the Good Samaritan was only included in the account of the gospel according to Luke, I was led to see the significance in that fact. Luke was a Greek physician, when he became a believer, and appears to have spent the rest of his life documenting the miracles done by Messiah and the apostles.
The victim in the story of the Good Samaritan was severely injured, assaulted by thieves, robbed, and basically left to die. Sadly, after the assault, witnesses left him to die, as well. There is no indication that the man who did respond with compassion, had any formal training in health care or triage. I was then led to another verse penned by Luke. Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were
unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them,
that they had been with Y'hshuwah.
I've been led to formulate essential oils with alcohol based extracts for topical application and have been further led to share reflexology application. So many are realizing American health care is moving so far, so very far away from what our Heavenly Father has ordained and promised. Y'hshuwah Messiah the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8. Healing is still possible at the hand of our Creator through His Son.
